Find Your Inner Voice

Find your inner voice!

The answers you need are already inside of you!

Everything has beauty, find your inner voice

I truly believe this for everyone I come into contact with.

You are not broken, you are not less than, and there is nothing wrong with you.

You do not need to be fixed. You are exactly who you need to be! And you have the answers to unlock your joy!

Where are these answers and how do I access them?

Your answers are right there, at the core of who you are. They live in that childlike confidence that the world is a magical place and you can be anything you want to be.

As a child you can see this reality, you can live that dream, and then, somewhere along the way, you quiet that voice. You tell it to stop being so unrealistic. You tell that inner voice that people will judge you, and that you need to be more like ‘them.’ You tell yourself to be practical, to be like everyone else, to seek acceptance.

You have convinced yourself that you are wrong and society is right. You have convinced yourself that you have to please other people’s perception of what you think they want you to be, instead of your truth.

The issue is not that something is wrong with you. The issue is your voice has been covered by layers of doubt, comparison, fear, and worry to the extent that you have lost sight of it, or have forgotten it is even there.

You have convinced yourself that your happiness is conditional on achievement, on winning, on money, on a relationship, on the approval of others, on a scholarship, on a roster spot, or on any one of a multitude of external factors.

To hear your true voice again, to truly tap into your personal greatness, you need to be willing to unstack the layers that have piled on top of it. The doubt, fear, and worry has muffled that voice to the point that you don’t hear it at all, or if you do, it is so quiet you are not sure if you can trust it. First, Be Optimistic! and remind yourself you can create the change you desire!

Next, start with the top layer. Is that anxiety, is that fear, doubt, or something else? Start asking yourself questions to explore that layer. Lean into it, understand it and be honest about it.

With each question, you will give yourself another answer.

With answers, you will be able to move to the next layer down, and challenge this one as well. With each layer you peel back, you get closer to that internal voice. The one that is yearning to be heard…

The one that holds all the answers you have been searching for. Because this is where your happiness lives. Not in a book, a quote, a movie, a relationship. Not in a blog, a meme, a hack or in any external achievement. Your happiness is already there and it can always be there if we choose to give it strength! It takes purpose, it takes time, and it takes the same compassion you show others, to be bestowed upon yourself.
